Hi!  I'm Trixie, Mandy and Korey's Springer Spaniel. I've only been with the family for a year, but Mom says that I have to help with the wedding, so I'm in charge of telling you about how Mom & Dad met, started dating & got engaged.

Mom and Dad met when Mom started working at Amazon in March, 2005. They went to a happy hour together and played pool.  Dad liked Mom from the very start, but Mom was kind of oblivious and didn't notice. Over the next year, Dad hung out with Mom a lot and they became really good friends. Of course, Dad was constantly trying to work up the nerve to ask Mom out - and Mom was still totally & completely oblivious to it.

Finally, in May of 2006, Dad asked Mom out on a date over instant messenger. Mom's answer was, "Can I think about it?" (At this point, Dad was pretty nervous). Mom knew Dad was one of her best friends already & she didn't want to mess that up with a relationship. (Silly, Mom!) Mom thought about it, though & realized that a date wasn't a relationship & she could see where things went. So, later that night, Mom messaged Dad back & said they should go out sometime.

And then nothing happened for about 2 months.

Finally, on July 9, 2006 Mom & Dad went out on their first date. They went to a park and walked on the beach, took a motorcycle ride around Seattle & then watched a movie at Mom's apartment. After this, things (finally) started moving a lot faster.  Mom and Dad fell pretty quickly. They started spending a lot of time together: Dad planned a surprise weekend at the beach for Mom's birthday, Mom took care of Dad when he had surgery. Mom met Korey's kids & started loving & taking care of them too.  Cassi (my sister, the cat) found them & then they found me in New Hampshire!

On March 13, 2009 Mom & Dad were flying to North Dakota on a 6 AM flight.  They were calling rows of seats to get on the plane when Dad got almost on one knee, pulled out a ring and asked Mom to marry him. Her first answer was "Seriously?!?!"  Then, she grabbed the ring out of the box & said yes.

Now, they're keeping busy with working on the house, planning the wedding & throwing the ball for me!
