Q: When is the wedding?
A: March 27, 2010 at 5:30 pm
Q: Are Kids Invited?
A: Yes, of course. Please make sure you let us know how many when you RSVP.
Q: Ok, I'm bringing my kids. Will they be bored?
A: We hope not! The ceremony will be short (approximately 30 min) and then there will be kid-friendly activities at the reception. Caroline is in charge of setting up a "kid's area" and she's had some great ideas.
Q: The name of your venue is Sodo Park. Is the wedding going to be outside?
A: Nope, it's all indoors.
Q: What should I wear?
A: We want everyone to be comfortable, so business casual is great (khaki's and button shirt). No ties unless you want to (or your parents make you).
Q: How do I get to Sodo Park?
A: Once we create the map for the invitation, you'll be able to download it here. For now, click here for a link to google maps.
Q: What are your colors?
Q: Where are you going on your honeymoon?
Q: Why is the Sky Blue?
A: Because its Mandy's favorite color. Duh;)
Q: How old are the kids now?
We have great friends and family, and just being there is gift enough. We are really excited to have all of you there for this incredibly special day. Your presence, your help & support, your laughter and friendship are really gift enough. If you'd like to get us something to celebrate, we've registered at the following places:
Amazon.com - Things for us to do together as a family
Target - Small appliances & some home furnishings
Tony Lyon, our mutual friend, will be officiating our ceremony. Tony and Korey have known each other for years, and he was one of the first of Korey's friends that Mandy met. For a little more information about Tony, check out his blurb below:
We will have both the ceremony and reception at Sodo Park in Seattle, WA. The building is located in the SoDo area of Seattle, south of downtown. It was built as a factory in the early 1900s, and is now being refurbished by the owners to serve as an event venue.
The venue and food were very important to us, and when we found Sodo Park, we knew it was the right place for us. There's a large area for the ceremony & reception, but there are also two seating areas off to the side. We plan on having games and other activities available for people who don't want to dance.
Sodo Park is owned by Herban Feast, a catering company, and they will be doing our catering as well. We've gone to their restaurant, Fresh Bistro, and really enjoyed the food. While we were there, we got to meet the executive chef, Dalis, and we're really excited to have them be a part of our wedding.
After the ceremony, we'll have passed appetizers and drinks while the ceremony area is converted into seating for dinner. For dinner, we'll be having a family style meal, with the meals passed around for each person. If you have special dietary requirements, plesae let us know. The Herban Feast team has already let us know they'll be happy to handle special requests.
Once we've had dinner, we'll have cake for dessert. There will also be a candy bar (think this, not this) for everyone to enjoy.
